Fortified by a good lunch, we then continue at 2.15 pm to the picture gallery to take a closer look at the wonderful paintings there.
The picture gallery at Sanssouci contains paintings belonging to King Friedrich II in elaborate carved gold-plated frames.
This is the oldest royal museum in Germany.
On the way back to the coach we see the New Chambers.
In 1768 King Frederick the Great decided to transform the orangery building, built 20 years before by Knobelsdorff, into a guest castle.
The rooms have therefore retained their decoration rich in Rococo elements.
Our return to Berlin takes us through the city centre of Potsdam which will be described as we go along on the route.

50 minutes each for the journey there and back.
In the event that Sanssouci is not open, the New Palace will be visited instead.
